A message from Renaisi’s board about John Hitchin

John Hitchin stands down as CEO of Renaisi and Natsayi Sithole is Interim CEO.

John’s resignation follows the death of his partner, and the mother of his two young daughters, in December 2023.

John had been Chief Executive since 2017. In that time, he established Renaisi’s highly regarded social impact consulting team and led the development of sector leading place-based change learning.

Under John’s leadership Renaisi has responded to the changing needs of communities, influenced policy, and improved the impact of hundreds of social sector partners.

We are incredibly grateful to John for his energy and vision.

While we are saddened by John’s departure, we have every confidence in the strengths of Interim CEO Natsayi Sithole and the senior team at Renaisi who have been leading the social enterprise since December 2023.

The team at Renaisi retain strong expertise in place-based working, systemic change, mixed methods evaluation, social research, and capacity building for impact.

Together with Associate Director, Beth Stout, Natsayi and the team will take forward the organisational strategy focused on challenging the root causes of social and economic exclusion.
