Our Team
Emma Schuring, TSIP
With a background in the creative industries before joining the social sector, Emma is well-versed in using storytelling for impact, centring creativity, transparency, and compassion in her approach. Emma uses her skills to make complex research findings accessible and amplify the voices of people with lived experience of injustice.
During her time at TSIP, Emma has produced a wide range of deliverables for clients, supporting her delivery colleagues to ensure research findings are presented in an engaging and accessible way. Some of her client work includes a designed community engagement toolkit for the Greater London Authority (GLA), design for a large variety of research outputs and funder reports for TSIP’s flagship community-led fund The Giving Lab funded by Wellcome Trust and Impact on Urban Health, and outreach materials aimed at supporting grassroots campaign groups and individuals in Southwark and Lambeth.
In addition to her client-facing deliverables, Emma has also coached and supported community members to tell their stories on their own terms and in their own words, and advocates for their stories to be platformed in forums traditionally made inaccessible to them.
Originally from the Netherlands and having lived in Sweden and Canada before making London her home, Emma was raised bilingually and speaks 5 European languages. She’s an outdoor enthusiast, loves seeing live music, and enjoys watching documentaries.
