Veronica Awuzudike, TSIP
Veronica (she/her) is a Senior Consultant at TSIP whose passions lie in exploring the intersections of health and marginalisation, whilst understanding the vital role of communities in achieving health equity. She has a strong background in co-production, co-design, learning programmes and participatory research methodology. Veronica has worked across research and evaluation projects with a community engagement and partnership lens. She has led as a learning partner in a national NHS fund aimed at evaluating access to greener spaces and, co-producing an intervention with Health Education England for people from Global Majority backgrounds seeking careers in Public Health.
Veronica has experience supporting systems change strategy development, theory of change processes, impact and process evaluation and is a skilled facilitator. She aims to centre and take a trauma-informed approach to her practice. She is currently working with Blood Cancer UK to co-design with the community and healthcare professionals a prototype to increase access to clinical trials for Black and Pakistani communities. As part of this role, she is working with the internal team at Blood Cancer to explore and support them to conduct good community engagement, internal and external learning and co-design with a range of stakeholders. The types of design methodology being used includes ideation workshopping, challenge definition workshops and prototype testing and design.
Veronica’s practice is one that centres curiosity and imagination. Outside of TSIP, she is currently a member of the Black Food Fund, a novel initiative seeking to share grants of a total value of £450K with Black people living, working and dreaming in Lambeth and Southwark. Further, she is currently working with ADHD Babes, an organisation for Black women and gender non conforming people living with diagnosed or undiagnosed ADHD. In her role as Strategy and Learning Partner, she seeks to explore how members define equity and equality. She uses a participatory approach to facilitation and learning to hold space for members. The outputs of this work will go onto shape organisational strategy.
