I currently work as a Caseworker for one of our projects called RISE. This is a voluntary programme that aims to support refugees into sustainable employment. I provide customers with advice, guidance and signpost them onto suitable courses where they can achieve accredited qualifications and basic skills. I work closely with the outreach team, making recommendations and ensuring that there is a steady flow of candidates.
My experience and skills
I have over 8 years of working experience in the welfare sector and have previously worked for Maximus and Lifeline. My experience and knowledge of the industry has enabled me to effectively use action plan and reviews as tools of massive intervention. I am highly organised and process orientated. I believe that workloads should be managed effectively to produce intended results. Being able to show empathy towards my beneficiaries is the key to building relationships that inspire positive change.
I enjoy participating in weekly sports and I am a member of a football team. I enjoy socialising and spending time with my family. I also take part in community charity fund raising in my spare time and I find this very rewarding.
